Good morning!
Wait! Come back! Don't run away! I'm not as scary as I look. Notice the puffy face, bleary eyes, and red nose. This is not a hangover, folks. This is called CEDAR ALLERGIES! And living in central Texas, I am miserable right now. The pollen count is astronomical! What to do? OTC allergy drugs don't even take the edge off. Except for Benadryl...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....Wha-wha-what?! Where are the kids? Haleigh put some clothes on! Brooklyn, toilet water is not for drinking! And Taryn, why is there craft glue all over the table?
Where was I? Oh, right. So Benadryl isn't really the best idea for me. We went to visit my grandparents this weekend (both are well into their 80's) and my Grandad suggested a little home remedy for my allergies. He swears by it! So here's what you do: Gather some wild cedar berries (stop laughing), boil 'em in about 2 cups of water, and let them steap like a tea. Take 1 teaspoon a day until allergies subside. According to Grandad, it only takes 1 or 2 doses and I should be cured!
Ok, so I've got my tea.
I'm not gonna lie to ya, I'm a little nervous. I've never made tea from anything didn't come with "Celestial Seasonings" emblazoned on the packaging. Here goes...
What's that little diddy about a spoonful of sugar?
The color sure is nice, though. Let me know how it works; I just might get desperate enough to try some myself.

Yeah, I'll be interested to know if that remedy is helpful. Ryan and Delaney have always had really bad allergies here.

Good luck, sounds interesting. You'll have to give us results for sure! Loved that you took photos of it all. I hope it works 'cause I know what allergies are like!
